Centrally located in the Upper Hunter Valley town of Denman, Merton Living offers three quality lifestyle choices.
In-Home Care Packages
Our Home Care caters to people assigned Level 1 to Level 4 packages as a result of an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) evaluation. ACAT approvals are free of charge. We currently provide services to 20 home-care clients and have space in our schedule for more.
Independent Retirement Villages
Merton Village caters to independent living. The village comprises 46 units – 26 in Ogilvie Street and 20 in Turtle Street. Currently we have four two-bedroom units available in Ogilvie Street and one two-bedroom unit with study in Turtle Street. A two-bedroom unit with study will soon be available on Ogilvie Street.
Residential Aged-Care
Merton Court Hostel is an aged-care residence catering not only to older people, but also those with a disability requiring respite care or needing some help with day-to-day activities. The hostel, in Virginia Street, consists of 17 air-conditioned rooms with ensuites. Merton Court currently has no vacant beds.
Tour Merton Living Facilities
The Merton Living administration building is located at 45 Ogilvie Street, Denman. We are open from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday, and at other times by appointment. Feel free to visit. We are hiring. Merton Living seeks excellent staff for casual and permanent part-time positions. Cooking, care staff, and registered nurse positions are available.
We require caring, dedicated, and empathetic registered nurses to work mainly at Merton Court, but also in our Home Care service as required. Full-time or part-time positions available. Applicants must supply a current NDIS clearance. Salary packaging is available for part-time and full-time staff.
We require caring, dedicated, and empathetic personal care staff to work in the Merton Court Hostel and for our Merton Home Care service. Casual and part-time work available. Traineeship may be offered to upskill to Certificate IV in Aged Care.
We require an experienced and dedicated cook at Merton Court to prepare the evening meal for our residents. This is a part-time, afternoon, three-hour shift position. Merton Court staff complete the Maggie Beer Foundation online modules for providing quality aged-care food.
